We run a range of Knitting and Crochet Workshops on Saturday mornings, 10.15-12.15.
Our sessions are very informal and we welcome complete beginners, anyone who needs a refresher course, and more experienced crafters. You are also welcome to come along with a pattern, project or technique of your own that you need a bit of help with!
Workshops are £14 each, you can book in the shop, by phone on 0151 632 6270 or by emailing email@example.com.
Details of future workshops are below. Our groups are small and very flexible so if the dates do not suit or you have a particular request just let us know and we can usually accomodate you. We can also arrange individual tuition in knitting, crochet and machine sewing - just get in touch to have a chat about what best suits your needs.
9 September 2017: Crocheted Blanket Patterns
Try a range of popular stitch patterns which are great for making cosy blankets or other accessories. We will look at Ripple patterns, Corner-to-Corner crochet, and the ever popular Granny Square. (If you have a particular pattern you would like to try, you can bring it along too.) We will also talk about the best way to join pieces together and add an edging to your work.
16 September 2017: Crocheted Owls
Owls are everywhere, it seems, and they are quick and easy to crochet - great for gifts We will be working with patterns for mini owl toys, and appliques that can decorate hats, scarves, cushions or blankets...even made into a coaster for your favourite cuppa!
23 September 2017: Crocheted Lace Patterns
This workshop is great for anyone who has mastered the basic stitches and wants to be a bit more adventurous in trying new combinations. It's also a good opportunity to practice working from a written pattern. The simple lace and shell patterns make great scarves, snoods or baby shawls.
7 October 2017: Beginner's Crochet
This workshop is for complete beginners or anyone who wants a refresher on the basics. We work at your own pace; most people can work chain, double and treble stitches by the end of a session and those with more experience usually go on to work some shaping or simple patterns. So if you are struggling to understand those "how to" videos on YouTube or would like a bit of help with keeping the edges of your rows straight, we can help!
